Of all the consoles created by American companies, the Xbox 360 is the highest seller. In 2005 it beat off all the competition to become the best selling Christmas toy. It almost didn’t happen either, as Microsoft had to rush the console to market, as it wanted to launch before Sony released their Playstation 3. Luckily this paid off and they sold over 1.5 million of the consoles by the end of that year.
