In 1998, the original Furby was introduced to the market and they fast became a massive worldwide seller. The toys would talk and move their eyelids, go to sleep and snore. Kids just had to have one. There were lots of different colours to suit both boys and girls and were priced quite affordably at the time.
During the first 3 years of the launch of Furby, over 40 million of them were sold. They have adapted since but are still popular right now with kids all over the world. There have also been some exclusive models released, one in particular saw just 5 editions made and they will change hands for $100,000 each.
Furby really has come a long way since 1998!
